GOD’S PROMISE OF PEACE

  • May 17, 2023

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NKJV)

As we continue this series of powerful prayers for mothers, my hope is that you will start to declare these promises over yourself daily. And even if you aren’t a parent, these prayers are for any believer. The third declaration to speak over yourself every day is: “Peace and joy are powerful forces in my life.”

Few people are truly living in a state of peace and joy. Yet these two gifts are yours for the taking. Your peace doesn’t come from everything around you being peaceful. Your joy isn’t dependant on all your problems being solved. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a completely problem-free time in my life!

We have the ability to meet any challenge head-on while standing on the Word of God. You have the Prince of Peace living inside you, and His peace is more than a fleeting emotion. It’s a tangible thing that comes with the presence of God.

You might say, “I tried this peace thing, and I just don’t have it.” Peace and joy are found in believing. As you feed yourself a steady diet of God's Word and fellowship with Holy Spirit, something stunning happens in you. Your mind and emotions become settled. Your home becomes more peaceful, relationships flourish and healing flows. Peace and joy are gifts. They’re not something you have to manufacture; they are permanent, powerful forces in your life. Declare it today!
