GOD MOVES THROUGH YOUR PRAYERS

  • March 14, 2023

For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us... Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26–27 (NKJV)

One of the most dangerous doctrines is the belief that everything that happens is God's will. It absolves us of responsibility and allows us to think, “If something is God’s will, why would I need to pray?”

But just because God wants something to happen doesn’t mean it will. For example, He doesn’t want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9), yet people die every day without choosing Jesus.

Many great men and women of God over the centuries have said that it seems God can do nothing unless a human being prays. You won’t find stories in the Bible of God physically walking up to someone and getting them saved. Even when Saul encountered a bright light on the road to Damascus, God still needed to send Ananias to lay hands on Saul and heal him of blindness (Acts 9:10–18).

You see, God chooses to move through us. Holy Spirit helps us pray according to the will of God and see His purposes fulfilled on this planet.

To pray His will, we need to first know His will. Romans 10:17 (NKJV) says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” When you get into God’s Word, you begin to understand His will—and you pray more effectively.

God wants to see people saved and touch their lives with the miraculous—through you!As you pray God’s will and reach out, His plans and purposes will unfold.
