ARE YOU LIMITING YOURSELF?

  • March 10, 2023

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Matthew 9:28–30 (NLT)

Do you believe the truth?

To a great degree, your beliefs determine what you experience. Jesus demonstrated this truth. When two blind men believed He could heal them, Jesus said, “Become what you believe” (Matthew 9:29–31, MSG), and their sight was restored.

The truth is that God has placed amazing gifts and abilities within you that you have the potential to develop. But if you don’t believe it, you will limit yourself.

You might have great potential, but what do you believe deep down? You need to believe the truth—that you can develop the skills and abilities to be successful.

Maybe you have the potential to start up your own business and God has been leading you in that direction. Your beliefs will determine whether or not you keep going when times get tough. If you stay focused on failures, you’ll quit, but the truth is you can succeed. You need to believe that you can and then never stop trying until you do.

Not only do you need to believe the truth, but you need to know why it’s the truth. The truth is you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). The truth is you’re a child of God (Galatians 3:26). You are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). You are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10, NLT). All of this is THE truth.

Your source of truth is God’s Word. It will never limit you.
